| Our Club | Voted Best Club in WA for last 5 years, we specialise in Freestyle Wrestling for all ages, male & female. Training from beginners to advanced seniors.
Our Coaches are all volunteers, they Coach because the love the sport. We welcome MMA fighters who would like to learn skills for their sport.So if you would like to hone your skills for MMA this is the place. Fremantle has a big volunteers base in parents, who will be happy to tell you how wrestling has improved, enhanced and helped their childrens lifes. Our wrestlers are from 8yrs old to over 50 yrs old.

Free style Wrestling Coach – Fremantle PCYC
· 1975: Was first taught folk-style wrestling at Monmouth Regional High School, a District Factor Group I school , New Jersey Shore, USA
· 1977: With a high school wrestling record of 48-8, selected High School Team Captain, voted most valuable player by his peers, won successful district, and regional championships in New Jersey throughout the 1970’s in the 135lb division.
· 1978-1982: Wrestled National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I, on the US Navy Wrestling Team, “The Midshipmen” in the 152lb division.
· 1983: Inducted into the Navy Athletics Hall of Fame for outstanding achievements in sports.
· 1983: Awarded the U.S. Naval Academy’s Sexton Memorial Trophy (a memorial to the late Commander Ormond Griffith Sexton III, Class of 1936), voted by coaching staff and team members as most outstanding in character, leadership, and sportsmanship.
· 1988-1990: Head Wrestling Coach, Department of Defence Schools, Naples American High School, Naples Italy
· 1990: Gold Medal winner in the 198lb division, All Armed Forces (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines) Open Free-style International Tournament, Comis Italy
· 1992 -1994: Assistant Wrestling Coach Monterey High School, Monterey California
· 1992-1994: Assistant Wrestling Coach, Monterey Community Free Style Wrestling Club, Monterey California
· 1994: Hosted Nation Wide Coaches Wrestling Clinic, Monterey Hilton Hotel, Monterey California
· 1995: Inducted into the Monmouth Regional High School (MRHS) Hall of Fame for being an outstanding scholar-athlete who has brought honour to MRHS by his post high school careers, and achieving superior success in his chosen field and is a contributing member to their community or country.

· 2008: Elected Vice President of Wrestling Western Australia
· 2008: Fremantle PCYC Wrestling Club awarded the Peter Lawson Memorial Trophy, WWA Club Challenge
· 2009: Re-Elected Vice President of Wrestling Western Australia
· 2009: Co-planned and hosted Western Australia’s first National School Age Championship tournament
· 2009: Fremantle PCYC Wrestling Club awarded the Peter Lawson Memorial Trophy, WWA Club Challenge
· 2010: Fremantle PCYC Wrestling Club awarded the Peter Lawson Memorial Trophy, WWA Club Challenge
· 2010: Selected as the Western Australian School Age National Wrestling Team, State Coach
· Coached many wrestlers to state and national championships, including Emma Chalmers, who wrestled at 2010 Commonwealth Games.
